Board of Directors

LFEF is governed by a Board of Directors.
The members of our Board of Directors are:

John Lincoln

John is a retired civil engineer and he has a long history of charitable giving and participation in charitable organizations. In addition to the Lincoln Family Educational Foundation, he is currently a member of the board of directors of four other charitable organizations. These include the Yoga Tree of Boise Foundation, the Water Engineers for the Americas and Africa, the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy, and the Giving Care Foundation. Mr. Lincoln has been involved with Big Brothers/Big Sisters (BBBS) of Idaho as a Big Brother, and has been awarded Big Brother of the Year and the Larry Koomler Award for his service to BBBS. Mr. Lincoln has also been a coach for Special Olympics of Idaho, coaching a variety of sports since 2006.

Adam Lincoln

VICE President

Adam graduated from the Art Institute of Portland in 2009 with a B.S. in Web Design & Development, and leverages over 15 years of experience as a senior digital and visual designer. His expertise spans web/graphic/motion design, video production, and more recently contemporary AI practices/workflows. Adam’s experience includes brand and marketing strategy for startups, freelance work for boutique agencies, the creation of a successful YouTube cooking channel, and leadership roles overseeing advertising design teams while at Amazon.

Ed Schultz

SECRETARY

Ed worked for 35 years in private accounting. During the last 10 years of his career, Ed volunteered at United Way of Treasure Valley, including chairing committees focused on reviewing local area non-profit organizations. This led to Ed serving on the board of directors for United Way of Treasure Valley. When Ed retired in 2014, he again began volunteering at United Way and was eventually hired by United Way to work in his encore career in fund-raising for eight more years. During his encore career Ed also became a “Big” with Big Brothers Big Sisters in 2020 and continues his role as a “Big” mentoring his “Little”. Ed is a grandfather of three boys and loves to spend as much time with them as he can, while still allowing plenty of time for travel with family and friends.

Bruce Wetten

Treasurer

Bruce retired from careers in sales, management and marketing in the media and title/escrow businesses. During his working career, he served on the board of directors of several charitable organizations including, the YMCA, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Lincoln Family Education Foundation, and a local Boise church. Bruce has been a Big Brother in the Big Brothers/Big Sisters program three times and received multiple awards along the way, including Big Brother of the Year and the Larry Koomler award.

Jennifer Thomas

Board Member

Jennifer is an active realtor, specializing in ranch land, but is fluent in all residential sales, and routinely receives awards, including breaking a national record for the number of transactions sold in 2023. Along with real estate, Ms. Thomas works closely with special needs, helping to give those individuals a good quality of life. Ms. Thomas also teaches yoga. The yoga space that she fosters helps her students find a sense of presence in mind, body and spirit. Ms. Thomas volunteers with a young women’s organization in her area, helping teen girls get through this challenging time of their lives, giving them an ear to listen to and lots of fun activities. Ms. Thomas also spends as much time as possible with her adult children and her one (for now) grandchild.

Daniel Tonn

Board Member

Daniel is a construction project manager with extensive experience leading complex projects from pre-construction through closeout, coordinating diverse stakeholders, and driving accountability for schedule, budget, and quality through disciplined planning and clear communication. He completed a year of volunteer service in Thailand at an international college, an experience that strengthened his commitment to education and cross-cultural community building. Daniel is honored to support this educational scholarship non-profit and is passionate about expanding access to opportunity by helping students secure the resources they need to pursue their academic and career goals.
